Celebrating 40 Years of Service

J P Systems is celebrating our 40^th anniversary! It is exciting to look back on 4 decades of the evolution of the IT services we provide. JPSys started out designing enterprise level databases and developing software applications. Back in the 1980s and 1990s we specialized in the financial and defense vertical markets. This included work for the Navy (budgeting, ships parts and refit tracking, submarine sonar systems), Air Force (Command, Control Communications and Intelligence systems) and Army (logistics and troop mobilization).  Jackie Mulrooney was one of only 3 women computer consultants in the Washington, DC metro area. She served on the board of directors for 3 years and then became President of the Washington, DC Independent Computer Consultants Association (WICCA).

As a dealer, she sold and installed Champion accounting software.  She developed custom software applications for small businesses such as custom accounting applications and billing tracking systems.  In addition, we provided graphics services to businesses for web and print work.

Galen was supporting JPSys as a subcontractor for a custom donation tracking system for a local Washington, DC television station. He also provided software testing services for a DoD financial cost projection system for weapons for my client CACI.  He later accepted a job at CACI.  

Mr. Galen Mulrooney joined J P Systems in 1998 as an employee. We also started developing websites for ourselves and our clients.  In 2003, JPSys became a fully virtual company, with everyone telecommuting. This agile business model later served us very well when the COVID pandemic hit as we needed no reorganizing or retooling to keep operating. As a result, we flourished despite the challenges presented by the pandemic.

Now we provide professional services for Federal enterprise-wide coordination of interoperability and clinical data exchange.  We provide professional services for clinical data standards, enterprise-wide coordination of data interoperability and clinical data exchange. We specialize in HL7 data standards development, FHIR Implementation Guides, Federal healthcare architectural solutioning, management of Health Information Exchanges, management of DirectTrust’s Direct Secure Email, standardized reference terminologies, clinical data quality improvement, stakeholder engagement, communications, and clinical data architecture.

To celebrate, JPSys has ordered special anniversary tote bags for all the employees. A new logo and banner have been created to reflect this monumental year. On August 18^th, there will be a company-wide meeting for employees, business partners and friends held for the celebration of our company. We will post a 40^th anniversary video to reflect on the company’s history.
