PMO IOC
For the Clinical and Data Management Office (CIDMO) Program Management Office (PMO), we provided professional and technical services to support Initial Operating Capacity (IOC) efforts in special projects with multiple VA Legacy Systems environments. This required program/project management, experienced health informatics analysts, experienced clinical informaticists to perform functionality tests of VA products and software such as CPRS version releases as well as configuration work to support Clinical Process Modules.
For each product tested, a well-written report was delivered attesting to the products safety and functionality for national implementation. This included clinical reminders, order sets, Clinical Decision Support templates and health factors.
The PMO required clinical health informatics experts to provide complete program and project management support for eleven (11) projects of the PMO in a one-year period. These VHA health informatics efforts were for Initial Operating Capability (IOC) of approved projects with “legacy” VA systems that supported healthcare delivery to VA patients. JPSys provided health informatics subject-matter experts and other experienced personnel to accomplish the required analysis and production releases of approved PMO projects.
Tasks and Activities
JPSys deployed all production system innovations for IOC, monitored and assessed performance metrics. Additionally, we integrated all the project schedules into one integrated master schedule. There were multiple informatics projects underway simultaneously.
