Giving Back
JPSys believes in giving back to local communities. Our Volunteer Day pays our employees for one day a year spent donating their time to the non-profit of their choice.
Thinking of an organization you would like to help? Please request a form from HR to start the process! The non-profit must be an IRS approved charitable organization which you can look up here.
Employees have volunteered for a variety of organizations such as: food banks, animal rescue, conservation land trusts, a therapeutic riding program for the disabled, a gun control group, local schools and Habitat for Humanity.

Pelican Release for CROW in Sanibel, Florida
Jackie Mulrooney volunteered for CROW, the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife. One day the task was to release 2 pelicans who had been in the clinic for 3 months mending broken wings. CROW always release animals exactly where they are found. When the release day came, she was by herself after they helped load the pelicans in their German Shepherd size crates into her SUV. Jackie drove to the beach and needed help getting the crates out of the car. She walked up to 2 perfect strangers and asked if they could assist me in releasing 2 pelicans. They were confused and said, "You have WHAT in your car?!" I explained that I had 2 pelicans in the back of my SUV and I volunteered for CROW. These birds had been in the hospital with broken wings and CROW needed pictures of the release. The CROW clinical staff were anxious to know if the birds could fly upon release. The strangers then heartly agreed to lift the crates and helped take the pictures. We got the crates on the beach, opened the doors, and the large male bird took off like a shot. However, the little female bird would not leave the crate as she was scared. We finally coaxed her out and both birds flew! It was a great experience as a volunteer.

Community Involvement
Educate Yourself and Others: Attend workshops or watch documentaries on social issues that matter to you. Share your knowledge with friends or neighbors. Start conversations raises awareness and encourages others to be concerned about local issues.
Support Local Initiatives: Back small businesses and local organizations that often struggle to gain traction. By shopping locally and volunteering, you’re not just boosting the economy, you are strengthening your community. Seek out community service opportunities or join local advocacy groups that align with your values. Heard of a brand-new Women Owned Small Business in town? Why not host a "Baby Business Shower" to get them started?
Be Environmentally Conscious: Small changes in your daily routine can contribute to a more sustainable future. All J P Systems employees telecommute, greatly reducing our carbon footprint. Reduce your plastic usage, opt for public transport, or bike. These efforts help the environment and inspire those around you to make similar choices.
Speak Up for Those Who Can’t: Use your voice to advocate for those who may not have the same platform. Whether through writing, social media, or local activism, amplify marginalized voices and highlight important issues. Your advocacy can spark conversations that lead to change.
Cultivate Community: Building a supportive community is crucial for any change effort. Creating spaces where people can share their experiences, ideas, and resources is supportive of business growth. Organizing gatherings, online or in person, can foster unity, empower individuals, and create a collective force for change.
Remember, every action counts, no matter how small. By incorporating these practices into your daily life, you can inspire others and make a positive impact on the world. Each step brings us closer to a better tomorrow. Start today, and let your actions ripple outward; you might be surprised by how far they reach.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
