THE WOMEN OF JPSYS (WOJ) Archive

J P SYSTEMS is a Woman Owned Business (WOSB) and Woman’s Business Enterprise (WBE). We pro-actively develop and promote women to serve in their fullest capacity possible. As we are a virtual company, while you are getting up at O’dark thirty and fighting traffic, we are safely home asleep and get up at 8 am to telecommute. We collaborate, teach  and learn from each other. We find out where you want to go and help you get there.

We aren’t so corporate that we can’t stop and laugh in the middle of a serious meeting. We are Data Scientists, Computer Scientists, Pharmacists, Business Architects, Senior IT consultants, Contracts Administrators, Program Managers, Clinical Informaticists, HL7 Data Standards Experts, Clinical Data Quality Analysts, Network Analysts, Technical Project Managers and Executive Nurses with more degrees than a thermometer.

Growing professionally means stretching and leaving our comfort zones. It means understanding and prospering in a world many of us older women were not raised to take part in. We were raised to be wives and mothers – not CEOs or COOs. The many unwritten rules of business success and political subterfuge were never explained to us. Neither was how to stick up for yourself or take credit where credit is due. We are very proud of our WOJ women.

To showcase our women, Lindsay Westervelt, our social media coordinator, developed a series of profiles of our most accomplished professional women. These posts appeared on our LinkedIn, Instagram and other sites. They shared how they got where they are and what the journey has meant to them. We hoped it would mean something to up and coming women (whatever their age) to read their stories and it did! We want to give you footsteps to follow if you don’t have a mentor.
