We perform clinical data quality analysis and improvement for Veterans Health Information Exchanges. We triage problems and engage with external and internal data exchange partners to rectify them.
Support of the Veteran's Health Information Exchange office and their Community Care healthcare providers. The external partners exchange Veteran health information with each other’s organizations using an exchange, which is an open architecture, standards-based approach to healthcare information exchange. VHIE provides a network of healthcare systems capable of exchanging information securely over the internet based on a common set of standards, specifications, and policies which enables the bi-directional sharing of VA and non-VA healthcare records.
We perform a wide range of clinical terminology services including:
We represent the VHA at several international data standards organizations and standards related organizations such as HL7 and SNOMED to influence international data exchange standards and report on HL7 working group activities. We support Patient Care, Structured Documents, Vocabulary, CIMI, FHIR (tm) and other workgroups.
