Full time employees accrue 2 weeks of paid vacation and five (5) days of sick time the first year. After one year, vacation accrual increases to three (3) weeks. Full time employees who have been with us for five (5) years accrue four (4) weeks of paid vacation a year.
Ten (10) holidays a year are paid for full time employees including a "floating" holiday which you may use instead of Columbus day whenever you choose. Use the floating holiday to turn any other important day into a paid holiday. Please refer to our Employee Manual for a complete description of benefits.
We offer participation in a 401(k) retirement account with a 3% contribution for eligible employees.
Educational Assistance Program
We offer a tuition assistance program for employees who have been with us for 6 months. The course must be approved by your manager and have direct bearing on your job duties. The limit for reimbursement has just been increased from $1000 per year to $1500 per year. J P Systems, Inc. will reimburse all or part of the registration and tuition costs for approved classes up to a maximum of $1500 per year. The class may be an accredited seminar, Webinar or college course. Your manager should enter the approved class in your Training tab in Bamboo HR. Click on the Record a Training link to add a new class. Once the course is completed, submit a transcript of your grade with your receipts for expenses via ClickTime. J P Systems will reimburse you as described in the Employee Manual for the fees that were preapproved. This may include fees for registration, tuition, books and additional lab fees. Reminder: If you are taking a seminar that offers continuing education credits, be sure to give your manager a copy of the Continuing Education Credit Certificate (or another document) to include in your personnel file.
J P Systems has a Volunteer Day once a year when full time employees can spend the entire day with pay volunteering at a charity of their choice. The charity must be an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. Each employee chooses their own date which is arranged ahead of time. To qualify for Volunteer Day, the organization must be a charity recognized by the IRS and must not be strongly suspect in violent or abusive actions against women or animals.

Virginia German Shepherd Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of the German Shepherd Dog. We provide a safe haven for German Shepherds (and, sometimes, other breeds/mixes) who are left in shelters to await uncertain fate; are owner surrenders (moving, illness, divorce, death, etc.); or are victims of abuse or neglect.
You may assist charities with administrative, management, IT, graphics, marketing, social media or other consulting tasks. The work to be done is arranged with each charity individually.
